Not too long ago, I wasn’t even sure I knew what a blog was. I knew it was something like a website, or at least I thought it was.
Last year, after several months/years of discussing it, my husband and I decided to renovate our house….well, the house sort of decided for us. That’s another story. So anyway, with our house renovation, I decided to finally get in touch with my inner “interior decorator” and do all the work myself. Well, not the hard labor – I left that to professionals, but the interior look and feel. This was going to be my chance to live a dream and create my own design from scratch.
So off I went – to Barnes and Noble to order as many design and “how to” books as I could find. Then I turned to google and started searching and that’s when I discovered the “wonderful wide world" of blogs. I was captivated and amazed. There was so much information out there….and I loved it. I quickly developed a list of my favorites and they became a regular part of my life. I love the blogging world, not only because it has brought into my life – through my laptop screen – the incredible experiences and passions of others, it has provided a creative outlet to explore another side of me that I didn’t know existed. It has changed the way I spend my “personal me time” and has given me the opportunity to evolve into the next stage of my life.
So the title, Love of the Sea came from the theme that I infused into the interior design of my house, which is inspired from my love of the ocean…from it’s colors, sights, sounds and sea life.
